The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has established this User Group internet facility to provide an effective forum for discussion between both existing and potential users of Mortality Medical Data System (MMDS) the automated mortality software provided by the United States National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). The forum has been designed to communicate information on developments in automated mortality coding, MMDS, and to allow users to share their knowledge and expertise in the use and application of ICD-10 .
